It was my brother's birthday this past week. I can't think of anything to make him. I thought about what things I could find on the internet, but the internet actually didn't help. It only made me think more about how screwy holidays are. Mother's Day. Father's Day. Christmas. I don't know. Seems like there's a lot of favoritism going on. What if you didn't know your mother or your father or even believe in Jesus? All seems kinda crazy to me. Could there be a Brother's Day or a Sister's Day? What about a Husband's Day or a Daughter's and Son's Day. Maybe such things exist, but I don't really hear about it. Hmm, let me Google it. OK, there's a "Son and Daughter Day" . . . sorry I transposed the words "son" and "daughter." Son and Daughter Day is celebrated on August 11. That's funny because that's my wedding anniversary.
I looked up Brother's Day. And it too exists. The day it actually happens confuses me. One site says the last Sunday of March and one on Facebook talks about it being on the first new moon after August 1. Weird.
