An Uneventful Event

I recently watched a film titled "The Doom Generation" which was released in 1995 and directed by Gregg Araki. My first viewing of this film was actually some time ago during my teen years and I guess I felt one good turn deserved another. I'm a firm believer that a person's understanding of life can change as they grow older and wiser. Now, through my thirty-year-old eyes, I ask myself why I wanted to put myself through such torture a second time around. I even dragged my poor, sweet husband into this uneventful event--except for him it was his first time. There are a lot of interesting little, excuse me, big details that I seemed to have missed. The first time I watched this movie I think I must have: a) covered my eyes during the more grotesque scenes of the film; or b) completely erased it from my mind.
